In 1921, Father Paul Foik, CSC, librarian at Notre Dame University, and other librarians from around the country founded the Catholic Library Association (CLA) as a section of the Catholic Educational Association (the "National" came later). Almost 90 years later, the Indiana connection continues as Indiana chapter of the CLA--the Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Chapter--was chartered in 2008 at the annual conference in Indianapolis.
If you are a librarian, archivist, or other information professional in Indiana who is interested in meeting to network, share, and learn--consider joining us! We typically meet in person twice a year and communicate online by email. For more information, please email info@indianacla.org.
